Rock Oil BIO Marine TCW III Biodegradable Synthetic 2 Stroke Marine Outboard Engine Oil

BIO Marine 3

During the last few years, a rapid growing interest has emerged for biodegradable, high performance outboard engine oils, which help to reduce water pollution.
Mineral oil based lubricants are not readily biodegradable but synthetic esters, originating from alcohols are highly biodegradable and offer excellent lubrication and load carrying capacity.

Features

  • Rock Oil has developed an ester based fluid BIO MARINE 3 which offers outstanding engine performance and biodegradation characteristics.
  • BIO MARINE 3 combines this technology with the most advanced ashless additives available to ensure that users of high performance 2-stroke outboard engines achieve the maximum possible engine life whilst maintaining maximum power.
  • BIO MARINE 3 proved to be excellent in various screening tests in addition to the official NMMA TCW-III test, BIO MARINE 3 is certified TCW-III and also has passed strongest chainsaw lubrication tests.
  • BIO MARINE 3 can successfully be used in a wide range of engines from small single cylinder units up to high output multi cylinder versions.
  • BIO MARINE 3 is suitable for use in oil injection systems or as a pre-mix.

Biodegradation

To establish Biodegradation specification 6 workshops were held in Switzerland in which government laboratories, environmentalists, engine manufacturers, oil and additive manufacturers participated.

A test procedure was established with the intended purpose of comparing the biodegradability of 2-stroke engine lubricants in water.

This test method was given the title: "Biodegradability of 2-stroke cycle outboard engine oils in water" and is identified by the code CEC-L-33-T-82.
